Job Description
This position ensures seamless design, delivery and execution of a full range of HR initiatives in support of our clients HR standards and business objectives – with specific focus on the engagement, retention and development of talent.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees with a subset of Global clients based primarily in the US, UK and Canada guiding the execution of HR programs, processes, communications, and initiatives as appropriate; drives and regularly reports on value and results delivered to the business.
- Delivers practical and insightful thought leadership, including the development and personal growth of people, with the objective of enabling our people to excel.
- Serves as a key point of contact for all employee relations issues. Works with ER function, Legal function and Talent Advisory Lead to resolve complex issues and avoid litigation when needed.
- Support the Americas Talent Advisory Council and related initiatives.
- Advises employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures
- Collaborates with Recruiting, Talent Services and Total Rewards and Talent Program Delivery to provide seamless HR support to leaders and employees.
- Manages all human resources related action changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations and cost center changes with a high degree of accuracy and according to established deadlines.
- Handles all inquiries from employees related to payroll, benefits, policies, etc. in a timely manner and resolves routine problems.
- Maintains employment files and records per company policy and legal regulations.
- Assists in processing and analyzing data for reporting purposes such as headcount analysis, pipeline projections and other analysis as needed with interaction with finance.
- Coordinates, administers and facilitates the mid-year and year-end evaluation processes in line with HR and member firm procedures. Communicates expectations and works with leaders to manage performance review and counseling processes.
- Manages separation process and exit process. Develops retention reporting and summarizes trends and issues
- Coordinates employee participation of required Deloitte training programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent required. Post-graduate level degree and a professional Human Resources/business qualification or equivalent experience desired.
Years of Experience: 6+ years of extensive HR experience
· Demonstrated experience in several areas of human resources (e.g., employee relations, professional development, HR operations, performance management, compensation, etc.) within a large, global, matrixed organization.
· Ability to develop professional and advisory relationships with senior leaders within the organization. Demonstrated passion for understanding the business and the linkages to talent management and development.
· Proven track record in driving significant HR initiatives
· Impeccable judgment and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to advise on sensitive issues.
· High comfort level in ambiguous situations; able to learn quickly and exercise judgment in situations where data may be elusive.
· Excellent communication, listening skills, and change leadership skills: verbal, written, counseling, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
· Outstanding business and analytical skills.
· Takes initiative and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Ability to prioritize workload, manage projects and handle multiple responsibilities while meeting strict deadlines.
· The capacity to work with people at all levels
