2. Project Engineering Manager, UAE


Our client, a provider of oilfield services and a prestigious name in the Oil and Gas Industry is looking for a Project Engineering Manager (offshore) to join their growing team in the UAE. The ideal candidate has to report to the Project and Engineering management with regard to design engineering progress and performance, highlight concerns and make recommendations and seek guidance for resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Directing the planners to develop their engineering schedule in an EPIC environment and report progress.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and liaise with Engineering Discipline Managers for resolution of technical issues when required.
• Review critical project design deliverables and philosophies to ensure compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
• Monitor design productivity and performance, investigate discrepancies as well as implement measures to adhere to the budget.
• Provide recommendations to the Engineering discipline managers and initiate measures to improve and modify project work procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree in engineering from a recognized University.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in design and engineering in the GCC, preferably with an engineering consultancy or an EPIC contractor, but not mandatory. A good blend of greenfield and brownfield engineering experience would be advantageous.
• Should have 5 years in offshore facilities engineering of which 2 years must be as a project engineering manager directing and guiding design and engineering activities.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, Ras Gas, Shell, QP, XOM, TOTAL ADMA standards will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:


• Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) consistent with the internationally recognized standards.

Responsibilities:


• Develop Pipeline-specific Company Standards.

Knowledge of Pipeline Flow Hydraulics and Flow Assurance plus associated pipeline software systems e.g. Pipesim, Pipeflo, Olga, Auto pipe, Caesar and Mathcad etc.
Knowledge and experience of Project Control applications including but not limited to Primavera and Technical Deliverable Registers systems.
• Familiar with international codes and standards applicable to oil and gas pipeline systems, i.e. ASME, API, DNV etc.
