Network Security Engineer (F5 Load balancing is Must)

Location: Tempe, AZ

Duration: 6 Months  

About The Opportunity

Security Engineer with 5 to 10 years experience with:

•             F5 Load balancing platform (required)

•             CheckPoint firewalls (highly preferred)

•             Cisco ASA firewalls / VPN (preferred)

•             BlueCoat proxies (nice to have)

•             Application migration and troubleshooting

•             Design/architecture experience

This position is highly hands on position that fully focuses on load balancing and firewalls on a daily basis. Due to the nature and size of our Team, this position is a mix of engineering / operations.

The candidate could, at any given time, perform the following tasks:

•             Reverse engineering an application working with a developer

•             Implement/Build new VIPs and/or firewall rules

•             Break/fix work and BAU tickets

•             Project work / Build

•             Participate in discussions on migrating a new university into our DC

•             Maintain Infrastructure (patch/upgrade, etc…)

•             Troubleshooting VPN connectivity with a customer
