Head Nurse, Unit Manager, Middle East
Our client is a Community and Hospital-based healthcare organisation in Saudi Arabia; providing Family Healthcare, Dental, Acute and Specialty services within the various clinics of their General Hospital.
Hospital Services are supported by a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic clinical support facilities including Spiral Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Haemodialysis Unit, Lithotripsy Suite, 8 bed Intensive Care Unit, 7 Operating Rooms and a Day Care Unit.
We are seeking applications for the position of Head Nurse/ Unit Manager for Surgery (not including Theatre) the specific criteria for which is below.

Duties of the post
* The Head Nurse is designated as an administrative manager / quality facilitator of a designated unit.
* Operationally responsible for ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is maintained.
* Reviews practices and procedures and recommends improvements.
* Ensures annual leave, shifts and duties are staff ratio and skill mix allocated to maintain adequate staffing throughout the 24 hours.
* Maintains effective communication within the unit/ department and health care team.
* Ensures effective utilisation of equipment and resources, maintaining adequate levels of medical / surgical consumables and pharmacy stock
* Contributes and participates in In-service Development, Nursing Committees and Hospital Committees as delegated.
Person requirements
* Registered Nurse with NMC registration
* Five years post registration experience
* Two years management experience in an Acute Surgical setting.
