DESCRIPTION
Accounts Section Head
Reports to: CFO
Job Purpose:
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or
maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and or all
other financial activities within the organization.

and Experience:
1. Education/Qualification:
1.1
An accountant college degree,
1.2
Plus a recognized accounting post study
like CMA or CPA pre-qualification.
2. Skills (general job knowledge):
2.1
Mathematics;
2.2
Economics and
Accounting;
2.3
Customer and
Personal Service;
2.4
Law and
Government compliance;
2.5
Some knowledge of Personnel and Human Resources general functions to cope with Salary
Administration ;

Judgment and
Decision Making;

Systems
Evaluation;
2.8
Active Listening;
2.9
Critical
Thinking.
3. Experience (experience
required for the job):
3.1
Seven up to ten years of work-related
skill, knowledge, and experience is needed for these occupations,

Including the direct managing of an
accounts team of 5 or more staff.
3.3
Broad experience in a commercial and
industrial organizations,
3.4
Audit exposure,
3.5
Experience of complex group accounting
structures.
3.6
Experience of good ERP system.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Prepare,
examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other
financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to
reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze
business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and
obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Report to
management regarding the finances of establishment.
- Establish
tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Develop,
maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare
budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop,
implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems,
making use of current computer technology.
- Prepare
forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct
their work activities.
- Survey
operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and
maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Advise
management about issues such as resource utilization, tax or dividend
strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
